Fab in 2012

Okay..So if my calculations are correct then tomorrow is New Years Eve. I'm not quite sure when Halloween happened and it seems like yesterday I was thrilled to be wearing scarf. Now, I'm preparing myself for the blizzard that is going to hit any day now. With Christmas said and done, I thought I would give you guys a small recap of the gifts that went around.

Chunkalicious

According to my Mother, the "licious" has come and gone along with Destiny's Child, but chunky is here to stay. With bare collarbones on the forefront of holiday attire, what better way to accesorize than a bold necklace.

With a recent change in occupations, my time has been well spent making necklaces and crazy headbands to keep my hair back, for when I eventually get back into the gym.

For those of us on a tighter budget this season, take some time to make something special for that special someone ;)

Below are a few of my favorite pieces I have made.

Money in the Jar Thanks to Denise Hajjar

From Little Red Riding Hood coats to backless embellished dresses, it was clear that Denise knows exactly what makes a women feel like a lady. The show, at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, turned out to be a complete success. All proceeds went to the Dress For Successs non-profit organization in Boston.

Not only did the show raise money for a good cause, but Denise blessed us with inspiration for our fall wardrobes. From double breasted coats to big buttons and fur trim, the runway forecasted what fall fashion should look like for New England.

Key piece of advice, go big or go home. Russian fur hats are okay and sex appeal is in as long as you have a gorgeous wool coat covering you up.

Cruel Intentions

If I have to put sandals on one more day..I swear I am going to cut my own feet off. I am done with shorts and flip flops..someone please bring on the leather. I know I know, were not supposed to wish for time to pass but seriously a scarf would make me extremely happy right about now. As I indulge in fashion magazines and start to disappear from the real world and seclude myself into the wonderful world of fall fashion, I have noticed one thing; Aristrocratic rock and roll glamour is here to welcome the fall foliage. I've never been one for bedazzling but I may have to invest in some obnoxiously studded accessories. Everything is bad ass and elegant all at the same time. If your not anxiously awaiting autumn..then maybe you should pick up a magazine and you will be throwing those bathing suits out the window too.

Jungle Fever

Feeling wild?

Well then maybe it is time to put away the pearls, Tiffanys, Pandora bracelets.. and go for something a little more fierce. . My supervisor and super fashion enthusiast, Ashlee Kross, has brought skulls and spikes to the forefront of costume jewelry and lets just say..I don't hate it.

Think more barbaric and less Audrey Hepburn. When it comes to getting dressed, this will make it that much easier. Her pieces speak for themself and will allow you to tone down that dress of yours and throw on a white tee instead.
Each necklace, hand crafted and one of a kind makes them that much more appealing. The fun colors allow them to be feminine while still maintaining their rockstar appeal.

Lets just say...Tarzan would go wild over Jane in one of these pieces.

Reading Between the Thread

There is nothing more frustrating then trying to interpret what someone means. Between jobs, friendships, and a love life, can't someone just give a direct answer. I watched this video the other day that talks about being straight forward with someone about your feelings...BAD IDEA. Come on, don't you know that in girl code..you never EVER tell someone you like them..especially not first.

Okay, so sue me..I am not only a victim of this but also a suspect. Lets admit it though..things are always more intriguing when you have to figure it out for yourself.
I went through my closet yesterday and found pieces of clothing that use only black and white to play off eachother and are still interesting.

Print at the Bottom Please.

Black has always been my thing but lately I have been gravitating towards color. Possibly due to the lack of sunshine in my life or maybe because I am just plain bored.

With everything in my life seeming a little less black or white and lacking in structure, its no wonder that chaotic prints and misunderstood color combo's are grabbing my attention.

The funny thing is, I am choosing these canvas like articles as my bottoms. Typically you think of tops when it comes to paisley prints or stripes and neons. Try looking for something funky on the bottom, it can be tough (not wanting to draw extra attention to the rear end or any muffin tops out there) but it is most certainly possible. Look for something a little more high waisted or perhaps with a line that draws it in at the waist.
